The Cookie Jar: Odds'n'ends

C is for cookie...

Welcome to the Cookie Jar, guest-hosted by my all-time favourite Muppet, Cookie Monster. Aka the odds'n'ends page, a repository for anything that...well, doesn't quite fit on any of the other pages. Little things. Hopefully, tasty fic-snacks. Things that aspire to the blessed state of cookie-dom. Have a dig around in the jar, there's no telling what you might find...

The Distance To The Stars

(LOTR, post-'Return of the King', Sam-angst, G) A response to Jae Gecko's Livejournal moods challenge: write a 500 word fic, any fandom, any character, based around one of the 'moods' that LJ users can define when posting entries. The mood is given at the end. Visit the archive with the other responses here.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate - A Love Letter

(XF) Challenge-fic, MSR, rated G. Not even a smidge of angst. Written in response to the following Scullyfic writing challenge: "Your writing challenge is to compose a love letter from one XF character to another (any characters you choose).  It can be whimsical or sweet or angsty -- whatever you'd like -- but your goal should be to make the letter sound as in-character as you can".

Hoping For Different Miracles

(XF) MSR/UST (you decide <g>), cancer-arc A, letter-fic, rated PG. A man wakes up each day wondering if today will be the day the miracle arrives. In time we come to hope for different miracles. A not-sequel: Mulder gets to take a turn at writing to Scully, but this isn't a 'PB&C' sequel. Is that clear now? ;)

Jiggery-Pokery

Or: The Tale Of A Surly Pectoral God And His Pig.

(XF) Rated A for absurdity. Uh...pig-fic? Pure silliness, at any rate. What can I say, I was having a surreal moment...and Ambress made me!

XF Meets Bagpuss, or, What Happened When the British Scullyficcers Flipped Over 'All Things' Spoilers

(XF) He was only a saggy old cloth cat, but Mulder loved him just the same. An experiment in co-authored silliness with Pequod, Marasmus and Sue Pyper. Now with helpful informative links for puzzled Yanks <g>.
